The Locus
Geographically, the Locus is nowhere near the Abbey and the Priory meet, sheltered away and almost inaccessible by ordinary means. Functionally, however, it is the common grounds where the Wolves and the Sisters meet, whether it be as a casual meet-up or, to brief (or de-brief) for missionss. Accessible by portal in the Abbey and the Priory, the Locus is protected by the same wards and enchantments that keep trespassers from entering, the labyrinth paths on more than one occasion confusing would-be attackers and keeping their inhabitants safe.

The Portals
It is highly doubtful that even with the physical prowess of the Sisters and the Wolves, they'd be able to make it into the Locus on foot - not to mention, it'd be awfully inefficient to trek through the forests to meet at the Locus. As a result, each side has their own specific portal attuned to direct teleportation to the Locus, appearing like a stone arch that has a pathway going through it. When a person walks through, however, they are immediately taken to the entrance of the Locus. It does take a new person some time to get used to teleportation by this means: it's been described on more than one occasion to be a slightly harsh zap through your entire body.

The Guardian Shrine
The Locus also houses the most important area for both the Sisters and the Wolves alike - the Guardian Shrine. Beneath the Shrine is the Vault, where all the Yarns and other important artefacts are kept for safety and for archival purposes. It's also where the most important ceremonies for the Orders take place, gathering the Sisters and the Wolves to usher in a new year in service and dedicated to protecting the normal, non-magical society.

Facilities
The Locus isn't so much a single treehouse or a cave complex, but a series of buildings and locations that group together like a small hamlet. In the centre of this hamlet is a medieval style building hosting the Grand Hall for formal events and the library. It also covers several different locations and providing areas such as a training dojo (yes, in the middle of a forest, no less), stables, a few shops, a cafe and even an inn, the Locus not only is a meeting place for both Orders but also ensures that the most basic provisions are brought to the area, in case of an emergency.
