Item: Wolf’s Mask Category: Protection Type: Magic Powers and abilities: Warding and tracking Needed Prerequisite for use: None History: Contrary to popular belief, the Wolf did not eat the grandmother. They did, however, eat the Yarn-Spinner whole, and it cost the poor creature their life, while Red and the woodcutter’s son arrived too late to save them. In their honour, the woodcutter’s son carved a mask in the shape of a wolf to mark their grave, and as a reminder of what had happened. This tradition has been handed down through the Wolves, to present-day Description: The Wolves wear this Mask to denote the Order they belong to, and as a reminder of their history. Each Mask is different in style depending on the Wolf and their rank, but there are always these basics: a mask vaguely in the shape of a wolf, a warding magic against most basic-level spells, and a simple tracking magic that is activated when a Wolf goes missing for a long period of time. The Masks are customisable, from its design to the enchantments, to a certain limit. They are additionally extremely durable, and with the right enchantments can be thrown as some form of weapon though as a last resort, as most Wolves are loathe to put their hard-earned masks on the firing line. None, however, have managed to change the eye slots of their masks to fire projectiles just yet, as the Pack Leader has strictly forbidden this. When asked, he doesn’t answer, and only mutters something about washing machines and wind magic being involved. Notes: There are a few limitations as to what the Cloak can and cannot be enchanted to do, due to the basic warding magic already in place. These include:
